Cory Siewert

coordinator & Leader of worship

Cory is from British Columbia, Canada. He grew up in a family that was very involved in music ministry all of his life. It was not uncommon for Sunday evening fellowship in the Siewert house to result in everyone (guests included) gathering around the piano for a sweet time of hymn singing.

Although from Canada, Cory spent much of his younger years moving around the U.S. due to his family taking many different ministry calls. Cory has always been passionate about music in the Church, and has studied guitar for 28 years. He is a lover of the Puritans, theology, liturgy, and hymnody, and loves the sweet spot where all of these things intersect. Currently Cory is also pursuing further pastoral training in the Master of Divinity program at Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte.

Cory is married to Rebecca, and they have 3 kids. As a family they love good books, BBQ, coffee, and listening to records. It is a chief joy of theirs to invite members of their church family and local community into their home to join them for thoughtfully prepared meals around their table, to linger over food and wine, giving them more opportunity to reflect on God’s faithfulness in the company of others. They view this as a sacred space, and as a calling forward to a better meal that is yet to come at the Lord’s table, when the whole of creation has been redeemed; pointing to the more-real heavenly reality we have to look forward to.
