Missions Team

“Love is helping people toward the greatest beauty and the highest value and the deepest satisfaction and the most lasting joy. . . love is helping people toward God.”

John Piper, Let the Nations Be Glad

At Church of the Redeemer, we are passionate about missions because God is passionate about his kingdom advancing around the world. We, therefore, seek to support mission work locally and globally through our prayers, financial resources, mission trips, and encouragement of those who would give of themselves for Christ and his gospel proclamation.

We give to individual missionaries and organizations from around the world through Faith Promise giving – trusting God to provide for his kingdom growth in unexpected ways (2 Cor 8 and 9).

We have a special passion for church planting and multiplication locally and globally. As a result, we have entered into epicenter partnerships with Reformed and Evangelical missions, focusing the resources God provides in a few places. Our hope and prayer is that God will utilize the church so that unreached peoples and those who have insufficient gospel witness may hear the name of Christ and that more worship will be promoted.

God calls us to love Him and to love our neighbors. We seek to share the love of God through the gospel so others may know God through his Redeemer.

The Connector Ministry
Adopt a missionary! Be Church of the Redeemer’s connection to a missionary. Help a missionary become connected to the people of Church of the Redeemer.

Each missionary has a Church of the Redeemer “Connector.” By reading correspondence sent by the missionaries, the Connector will act as an advocate for the missionary to the church through natural contacts—Life Groups, Bible Studies, fellowship gatherings, and Sunday mornings. We want to spiritually and prayerfully support our missionaries, in addition to the financial support they already receive.

Short Term Mission Trips
Going on a short term mission trip is important because out of that, not only do you see spiritual growth in a person, but you will experience a different culture, experience a different lifestyle. It will expand your world view. There is nothing more exciting than participating in the gospel…reaching the ends of the earth for Christ.

Monterrey, Mexico
Various short term trips have been made to Northern Mexico to evaluate and participate in the continued church planting movement. Our participation with this movement is assisting the Nationals with their vision to plant Presbyterian Churches in the 27 major cities of Northern Mexico that have no current Reformed Churches.

McDowell Mission - West Virginia
For five years, Church of the Redeemer has sent teams to McDowell County, West Virginia to serve individuals, families, and the community. McDowell Mission organizes work projects for the teams, which include basic home repairs, painting, and sometimes remodeling or construction projects. We go to work, but, more importantly, we go to share God’s love.
