Redeemer Kids
For kids from birth through 5th grade

Partnering with parents to teach the gospel to the next generation!

Our Sunday morning program for kids is called Redeemer Kids. It encompasses KidVenture! for children ages two through 5th grade during the Discipleship & Life hour, Children’s Worship for three-year-olds through 5th graders during the worship service, and Nursery for infants through 36 months.

We have a Welcome Station located in the “2nd lobby.” Each participating child must be checked in by an adult on Sunday morning. When you check in, you will receive a sticker nametag with a security number for each of your children to wear. You will also receive a corresponding sticker that must be presented when you pick up your child. Each family has a unique security number printed on both the parent’s and children’s stickers. If you are needed during the service, this number will appear on the number paging system posted at the front-left of the auditorium. See below for more about our security policies and our Biblical convictions.

Be sure to check out the latest Redeemer Kids News Flash, our children's ministry newsletter, on our eNewsletters page.

Nursery

9:00 a.m. - During Discipleship & Life and KidVenture!
Birth through 23 months

10:15 a.m. - During the worship service
Infants: Birth through 18 months
Toddlers/Young 3's: 19 through 36 months

The purpose of the nursery is to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the smallest in our midst. We do this by providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment that will include walking, holding, rocking, reading, singing, feeding, and playing with the children. The little ones will be introduced to God’s word through music and Bible stories.

It is our sincere prayer to see Psalm 71:5-6 lived out in our children, that they may one day pray these words to our great God:

"For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.
From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb.
I will ever praise you."

KidVenture!

9:00 - 10:10 a.m. - During the Discipleship & Life Hour
Note: there is no KidVenture! during August. Classes will resume on September 6.

Toddlers through young 3’s
Simple stories will emphasize awesome truths: “God made me, God loves me, and God will take care of me.” This class will have a happy atmosphere that includes lots of play time, music, story time, and a snack.

Preschoolers: 3 years through 5 years
We will take an amazing journey through the New Testament. “He has Spoken By His Son” unfolds the wonder and power of Jesus Christ. This curriculum explores the greatness of God in Christ by noting key themes found chronologically throughout the New Testament. This program includes fun activities for children in a small group environment.

Kindergarten through 2nd graders
We will explore the meaning of Redemption. “Jesus, What a Savior!” will explain that we were created to enjoy the glory of God. But, as sinners, we fail to treasure Him as we should. Our hearts are full of sin, and we stand in need of a Savior. This chronological study on redemption explores the incomparable greatness and worth of God, the desperate condition of helpless sinners, and the all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ to redeem sinful people.

3rd through 5th graders
Our older boys and girls have an engaging study on the names and character of God. “How Majestic is Your Name” presents the Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament and the names of Christ and Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Each lesson encourages children to see and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God as they explore the meaning of His glorious names.

The curriculum choices for KidVenture! are through www.ChildrenDesiringGod.org.

Children’s Worship

Children will be dismissed partway through the worship service to go to Children's Worship.

3 years through 5 years
Our preschoolers are learning the characters of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus through stories, songs, crafts, snacks, and activities.

Kindergarten through 2nd graders
In this class, the children are learning to love God’s Word. Your children will learn to not only memorize scripture, but to understand it and hide it in their hearts.

3rd through 5th graders (1st and 3rd Sundays of each month)
These children are learning about worship and why it is important.

Redeemer Kids Biblical Convictions

  • To be honoring to God
  • To teach the gospel of grace to children
  • To demonstrate that Christ is our first love and Mission is his first call

Redeemer Kids Security Policies

All adults and youth volunteering in our Redeemer Kids ministry are screened, and background checks are conducted on adults. For the protection of the children and the adults, we require that at least two adults be serving in all classrooms. Other security measures include a nametag system whereby a parent or guardian must show a security sticker to pick up their child. We will not relinquish any child to anyone other than a parent or guardian unless the Children's Ministry is notified by the parent or guardian beforehand.
